FAQs
At You Move Health & Rehab, we want to ensure you have all the information you need to feel confident in your health and fitness journey with us. Below, you’ll find answers to some of the most common questions about our services, approach, and what to expect during your first visit.
What is an Exercise Physiologist?
An Exercise Physiologist is a health expert who uses exercise to help manage and improve health conditions. At You Move Health & Rehab, our team creates personalised exercise programs that match your unique needs and goals.
Do I need a referral to see an Exercise Physiologist?
Nope! You can book straight in with us, no referral needed. Just pick a time, and we’ll get started on your health journey together.
Do You Offer Rebates Through Health Schemes?
Yes! We offer flexible payment options. You can self-fund or access rebates through Private Health, Medicare (Chronic Disease Management Plan), NDIS, DVA, Aged Care Packages, and Worker’s Compensation.
What is the ForeverFIT Over 60s Group Program?
ForeverFIT is designed for people over 60 who want to stay strong, fit, and healthy during retirement. It’s fully subsidised for eligible participants with chronic health conditions, so you can focus on staying active and feeling great.
Do you offer telehealth consultations?
Yes, we do! If you’d prefer or need to attend your sessions remotely, we’ve got you covered with telehealth options.
How do I know if your program will work for me?
We’re all about long-term results, not quick fixes. That’s why we offer a free consultation to chat about your goals and see if we’re the right fit for you. We’ll only take you on if we’re confident we can help!
Do I need to fill out any forms before the consultation?
Yes, we’ll send you a pre-consultation questionnaire and consent form before your appointment. Filling these out ahead of time helps us make the most of your session.
How long will the initial consultation take?
The first consultation usually takes about an hour, but this can vary depending on your situation. We want to make sure we cover everything thoroughly.
Do I need to be injured or have a chronic condition to work with you?
Not at all! We work with everyone, from beginners to fitness pros, helping you get stronger, fitter, and healthier—whether you’re managing a condition or just looking to improve your wellbeing.
What services do you offer?
We’ve got a range of options to suit your needs: one-on-one sessions, the ForeverFIT Over 60s group program, and even online coaching through our digital wellness platform.
Is the clinic accessible for people with disabilities?
Absolutely! We’ve made sure our clinic is fully accessible, with ramps, accessible restrooms, and parking, including disability-accessible spaces.
Do you offer hands-on therapy, like a massage?
Our focus is on empowering you through active exercise rather than passive treatments like massage. We’ll teach you how to use exercise to manage pain and keep future problems at bay.
Can I switch from in-person sessions to online coaching?
Absolutely! If you prefer, you can easily switch to our online coaching program and keep progressing with personalised support, no matter where you are.
What happens during the initial consultation?
In your first session, we’ll have a chat about your medical history, current symptoms, lifestyle, and goals. Then, we’ll do a physical assessment to create a tailored plan just for you.
What should I bring to the initial consultation?
Please bring along any relevant medical documents, imaging reports, or referrals. Wear something comfy that’s easy to move in!
What happens after the initial consultation?
After your consultation, we’ll give you a personalised plan and talk about your next steps, which could include follow-up appointments, exercises to do at home, or further assessments.
