Physiotherapist supervision
All sessions are led and supervised by Alycia, with exercises chosen around your recovery, current ability and goals.

Physio-led Clinical Pilates with Alycia Blunt for postpartum mums and their bubs up to 18 months. Build strength, control and confidence in a supportive small group.
Move together after having a baby
Returning to movement after having a baby can bring questions about strength, comfort and confidence. Alycia combines Physiotherapy and her background in strength and conditioning to help you find an appropriate way forward.
Mums & Bubs Clinical Pilates focuses on pelvic floor strength, core stability and physical function after pregnancy and birth. Your initial assessment guides your starting point, with progressive sessions that build on each other over time.
No previous Pilates or exercise experience is needed. You’ll move alongside other mums, with your bub welcome beside you on the floor throughout the class.
What to expect
All sessions are led and supervised by Alycia, with exercises chosen around your recovery, current ability and goals.
A small group gives you individual attention and the opportunity to connect with other mums.
Bring a play mat or blanket, a pram or carrier, and anything your bub needs. You’re welcome to feed your baby during the session.
Your first step
A one-on-one postpartum assessment with Alycia is required before joining group sessions. This gives you time to discuss your birth history, recovery, pelvic floor function and goals.
Book the Mums & Bubs Class Assessment under Women’s & Pelvic Health Physiotherapy in online booking. Alycia will explain assessment options and discuss whether the group is a suitable next step.
You can self-refer; no GP referral is required to enrol. Medical clearance may be requested where clinically indicated by your health history.

Common questions
The program is for postpartum mums with a bub up to 18 months. Everyone completes a one-on-one postpartum assessment with Alycia before starting group sessions.
Your starting point depends on your recovery, symptoms and individual circumstances. Begin with your assessment so Alycia can discuss suitability and appropriate next steps.
Bring a pram or carrier, play mat or blanket, nappies, wipes, a change of clothes, feeding supplies and a quiet toy if helpful. Your bub stays with you on the floor, and you’re welcome to feed at any time.
Wear comfortable clothes and bring water and a small towel. Arrive five minutes before your allocated class to settle in, and let Alycia know about any changes to your health or recovery.
Discuss them with Alycia at your assessment. She can help you understand whether individual pelvic health care, the group or a combination is appropriate for your needs.
Book your class assessment, or send an enquiry about your recovery and current term places.
